'No!' says the Administration, 'It belongs in the General Chat.' I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Balrog, He would make a forum where the Joker would not fear the Ban Hammer, where the needy would not be bound by absent moderators, Where the True lulz would not be constrained by the spam! And with the sweat of your brow, Balrog can become your Mod as well.

As you may or may not know, it is election time for a new mod on CRM. You have probably also noticed my campaining signature. I encourage anyone who wants to help me out to go over to CRM and place a vote for me by clicking on my sig. Thank you.

I know and to be honest, I'm not sad, disappointed or anything if I'm not elected. Like I said, I don't believe I'm going to get a single vote so it doesn't really matter.

Naw, I was pretty sure it was a flute. You can't jump and play violin at the same time, but if you keep your arms loose enough you can play a flute, and I think it was more of a pan's flute than the horinzontal one.

Also, I find it funny that we are talking about Emperor Nero just the time I finished the first season of Rome on DVD and begun watching the second. Even though the series does not feature him.

The phrase is "Nero fiddled while Rome burned." As I'm not a huge history buff, and accounts are sketchy anyway, I don't know if that means that he played a fiddle, or what. I do know Nero played the lyre.

I've never heard that phrase before, but faced with it I must concede that he must have been playing the fiddle. Anyways, I'll be taking Ancient Rome this year so I'll try to find a professor who knows for sure.

The phrase is a translation of a second-hand account or something, I think; most believe it was a lyre that he would've played. Then again, the whole thing is covered in ambiguity, so Nero's musical escapades might never have even happened.
