Hey, I'm around really really sporadically this summer, but anyone who wants to contact me can (and should) do so using the AIM and MSN contact info in my profile.  If that doesn't work for you, I can supply you with Jabber, GTalk, YIM, Steam chat, email, IRC, or maybe something I've forgotten.

If you still can't contact me, send me a PM or something, I guess.

Speaking of which...

I have a nasty habit of deleting my contacts when a round ends, so if anyone wants to exchange MSN or Skype contacts.... PM me... again? :/

The battle, Coffee, is when people start talking about the round, when powers (which can now be activated, oh ye people who have not activated powers) are used, and when accusations fly. Also, when the first person gets K.O.ed. Looking forward to seeing who that is.

We'll probably want to have the town roles to find each other and create a town watch, however it wouldn't be smart to do that right now...  We'll want to wait until Sonic clears someone in the next night phase.

Oh, and a quick question for Azhrei.  You said that Sonic's power is 85% accurate.  Does that mean there is a 15% chance that the target will appear the OPPOSITE of what they really are, or that there's a 15% chance that no result will turn up?

About voting... I have no idea who to lynch.  I think when we do choose someone to lynch, we should have only SIX people vote for them to see if they are Bowser or not.

In answer to your query, Powerdrone, there is an 85% chance of a correct affiliation, and 15% that the affiliation will be wrong. After all, Sonic never misses, he just sometimes hits something he shouldn't have.

I haven't played in so long that I forgot I was in this round.

Also, nothing to add.  If anyone feels like adding/messaging me, my info's in my profile.  :D  I'll be on now that the round has started and I remembered I was in it.

Why 6 people?  If we're suspicious of Bowser, just use 8 people to override his power.  And people could just not vote.  I don't have a problem, but I'm just curious as to why 6.

I think that's why?

Edit: Wait, I think you already knew that. Nevermind.

What is the point in not killing Bowser exactly? Killing mafia is kinda a pro town thing to do.
Also I'm not going to be on any IM clients ever probably, due to summer and all that, if you want to talk to me pming is the best way.

I think Powerdrone meant it as like "Let's SEE if a person is Bowser first, and then lynch them next time if we're right."

That isn't a very easy thing to do however. Not to mention, isn't it a little too early to suggest that? I mean, we have zero leads of ANYTHING at the moment.

There's no point in the "Let's see if they're Bowser first" idea.  If its 6 or less votes: Either they die or it's Bowser who lives.  If its 7 or more, then they die, even if it is Bowser.  Saying "Let's see if the person is Bowser to make sure" is basically saying "Hey, lets make sure the votes are under 7 so Bowser takes the hit and stalls a day."  Unless I'm seriously missing something here.

I have an announcement to make.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that a few players have communicated to me a need to drop out, and I also have a few unconfirmed role PMs, we can not continue with this round just yet. In light of the dropout of Mayday by PM and probable dropout of Gyakuten Zero, we only have 19 players, 17 of which have confirmed role PMs. If I'm going to switch roles around after kicking unconfirmed players, I need at least 18 players to continue.

In light of this, I will be extending Day 1 for a further 24 hours in hopes that Karfka and/or AdeptZero confirms their role or that Gyakuten Zero gets a surprise new computer. If one of them does confirm before 11pm tonight, then the game will continue with the extension so that nobody is taken by surprise voting.

I hope this unfortunate happenstance doesn't kill the game, but there you have it. There's really nothing else I can do at the moment.

Edit: Also, Azure, Phase Changes are at 11pm in Australian Eastern Standard Time. This is 15 hours on top of the forum clocks (I know this from having to reset my VG clock to my time here down under).

Oh... I suppose you're right about the Bowser thing.  I didn't quite think that through...  >_<;;

Yeah we should just lyncherate anyone with a whole lot of votes to make sure Wario's power doesn't affect the kill.  ^_^

Sorry about that.  xD

I'll see if I can nudge Karfka.

I just added Karfka's AIM to my list, and his subtitle says: Starcraft II. back in a week. :D

I think we might have lost him.

The ONLY other thing I can think of doing is reassigning any roles that might be there for Karfka or AdeptZero (if there are any) and then moving to Day 2 with the assumption that town lynched one and the mafia hit the other. Not exactly fair play but better than a broken game... maybe possibly.

This is all after the extended 24 hour wait, that is.

I'd prefer that idea than just ending the came outright, that is, if they don't make it in time.

Actually, I had meant to say that I wasn't going to do so unless I had the agreement of the players. So PM me if you agree saying that you agree, or PM me that you disagree, and if I get a majority of agreement with at least one mafia member then we'll move on to Day 2 with those results.

Yay for PM secret ballot voting system.

I just said secret ballot. Please make it secret so that we can disguise mafia members opinions. Otherwise the game breaks again. I'm concerned for Mafia opinion because if this breaks something they want to do, that's not fair to them. PM me your opinion, it will not be counted otherwise.

I went for secret ballot because if we have half of the players vote in thread, and then I have to wait for a mafia vote, people will know who the mafia member is. Secret ballot protects identities as well as votes.

Well, we no longer need the voting. We will still wait the extra 24 hours so people can discuss and town can vote, and if Adeptzero confirms by 11pm tonight (24 hours before phase change), all the better. This also gives GZ a little time for a miracle =D if he should be so lucky. However, if neither of them does, then I will reassign any roles and we'll continue without them to make the first votes and hits fair.

Also, thanks Droney.

There are now 24 hours until Phase Change.

Gyakuten Zero and AdeptZero have both been unfortunately expelled from the round, and all roles have been adjusted. Play can now continue as planned. I'd ask all players to remain as active as possible to keep the round going. Thanks for your patience with all unresolved problems.

What to do...

I personally suggest either a no-lynch or a lynch based on something...
But please, with based on something I don't mean "his/her posts are suspicious VOTE: PERSON" and then the person turns out to be a townie >_>.

Also, for those who don't know, I'm in France and that will limit my activity and the my online times on AIM. Also AIM is Powerdaan but I think everyone knows that by now =D.
I will be home by thursday night, so my activity will be better starting on friday.

Almost 48 hours later, and still nothing new.  I think I'll go ahead an get things rolling.
VOTE:  THEGRANDMORON
Might have to go with that, it's better than ending it altogether.

Also, I was NOT the one that proposed the Bowser lynch idea. It was Powerdrone's.

This is bothering me a bit.  Being that there's been very little activity mafia-related in-thread, it feels like TGM overreacted to something that, in reality, wasn't there (I'm not seeing it, at any rate).

Not the strongest case, but I'd rather see some progress today (lynch/Bowser Power).  If there's any other ideas, let's hear them.

@Gerk:  Uh...hold on, I know this one...it's on the tip of my tongue...Kung Fu Cut Man, right?  No, no, that isn't it...
(just playing, man.  Happy Birthday, Gerk!)

Well, we need to do something, and we have another 20 hours to figure something out and not waste a chance to lynch a mafia.  TGM's post bugged me too, General, but I don't think it's all that much worth credit towards for the time being.  If nothing else comes up, then we're gonna have to go with it.

Vote: The Grand Moron

That is subject to change if a stronger case comes along.

I disagree with that.
I'd rather have one townie dead, instead of two townies dead during a phase cycle.
I mean, most of the times random votes go wrong.

Edit: Although what Gen. I said is kinda interesting. Although I'm not sure if its enough to base a vote on, on the other hand, its day 1 >_>

It's funny because I was expecting this when I when woke up this morning.

First of all, I've always been the overreacting type. The Hotel Dusk mafia was proof of that, which ultimately made me decide to leave it, I don't have intention of leaving again though.

Second, you'd just be lynching an innocent townie and then the hounds will be after you by the next Day phase. If you're town who still wants to help the town, then I suggest you think again. Of course everyone would say that, so I guess that's still up to your judgement.

Third, I suck ass at defending myself, but that isn't the point.

I just thing The Grand Moron just didn't want to be associated with such a counter town initiative as placing no more than six votes on a person to see if they are bowser. because such a plan has two outcomes:
1. They are not bowser, They die.
2. They are bowser, They live and we have to kill them again.

Based on the sheer silliness of that plan and because there isn't anything better to go on.

I personally suggest either a no-lynch or a lynch based on something...

As the saying goes a no-lynch only helps the mafia unless it is mylo.

I feel as if you know this already, but it's worth saying again.  A NL tells us nothing.  Cases presented and peoples reactions to them and where they throw their votes can be a good basis to start hunting with.  If we hit the mafia, all we learn is who they want dead.  Which isn't actually that helpful.

So while NLing will give us one less dead townie, it'll also give us a lot less information to go on on later days.

Or become another town lynch cycle where it's town after town after town.

Oh wait, that's a given for all rounds. Nevermind.

Vote: Powerdrone

This is just a placeholder vote until someone does anything more suspicious than having a very stupid idea. I am asking Raziki if he has any other reason to vote TGM though, as I don't think her (TGM) post was suspicious at all

It won't necessarily become a town lynch cycle.  One mislynch could easily lead to a successful link of mafia lynches.

We got two cases up on the board.  Powerdrone for originally thinking it'd be a good idea to prove Bowser rather than overriding the power.  And TGM for getting overly defensive when she thought that the 'lets only vote six incase of bowser" idea was blamed on her.

On one hand, we have a brain fart where Powerdrone thought about letting Bowser live with 6 votes was a good idea.

On the other, we have TGM misunderstanding and thought my comment was directed to her.

Personally, i find that defensiveness was more bothering that a simple slip, and is something more to go on.  Whoever we vote, we need to have 7 or more votes, in the event we end up lynching Bowser.  My vote is staying on TGM unless the majority of you all vote otherwise, but try to keep them concentrated on one person.

Cut by Gerk... oowwwie TT~TT

Time to go more indepth on my suspicion on her.  Not only was it a bit later into the conversation where she went out of no where "It wasn't my idea, it was Powerdrones!", to me, seemed more like a shift of focus onto Powerdrone and get him in the spotlight for his mistake.  Actually, she said that AFTER Powerdrone said it was his bad for suggesting that and he wasn't thinking.  I'm seeing it more as an attack towards Powerdrone rather than a defensive nature, which could double as both honestly.

I did not say it was a bad idea. I said it was too early for it because we had no leads at the time.

We still have no idea who Bowser could be.

TGM's always been defensive. I don't see her being any more defensive than when we normally talk on MSN between rounds~ XD This is why, at the moment, I didn't find her suspicious.
